It was with great pleasure that we welcomed family and friends of the Dara community to our Expo held on Wednesday the 26th of September. Our Expo provided lower Primary students with an opportunity to showcase their work with me from their Guided Inquiry unit comprised of art inspired by different artists including Vincent Van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, Frida Kahlo, Andy Warhol and Henri Matisse, also their characters from Visual Art lessons with Andi. Upper Primary students showcased their work from the Young Inventors unit taught by our guest specialist Melissa, with lots of innovative and unique ideas explained comprehensively by the students.

It was lovely to witness a beautiful performance by our choir led by Rosalie and accompanied by Dexter on guitar. Well done to all of our students for their learning persistence this term, with students Aakash, Karl, Finley, Chris, Madi, Julius and Aiden recognised with Principal awards presented by Lynda. Congratulations to Dallyn for hosting the afternoon, demonstrating leadership and excellent public speaking skills. A special thank you to the wonderful and talented bakers amongst our Dara families for supplying delicious afternoon tea enjoyed by all. How wonderful to be part of such a supportive and vibrant school community.
