“I am excited to be part of gifted education at Dara, working with young people who are passionate, thoughtful, curious and wonderfully surprising. I value classrooms where students feel safe to think deeply, take intellectual risks, pursue personal interests, and help lead learning in unexpected directions.

My passion is in Mathematics education, particularly helping students move beyond procedures and into deeper mathematical thinking. I enjoy the challenge of senior mathematics, abstract ideas, and the way mathematics allows us to test assumptions, explore structure, and ask better questions about why things work. One of my favourite moments in teaching is seeing the ‘click’ in a student’s eyes when it all falls into place.

That same love of questioning also shapes my interest in English, philosophy and the Humanities. Stories give us another way to explore assumptions, values and possibilities, creating connection and inviting us to see the world from different perspectives. This is also part of what draws me to Dungeons & Dragons: shared imagination, testing ethical dilemmas, and building meaning together.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy volleyball, bouldering and ultimate frisbee, with a spattering of other sports over the years. I also love guitar, live music, chess, Magic: The Gathering, and board games with friends.
